Women in Data Science Conference Watch Party
March 7 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
DataLab is hosting a watch party for the annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference on March 7th, 2022!
The WiDS initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. WiDS began as a conference at Stanford in November 2015, and has grown to include a global conference, with approximately 150+ regional events worldwide; a datathon, encouraging participants to hone their skills using a social impact challenge; and a podcast, featuring leaders in the field talking about their work, their journeys, and lessons learned.
Join us in the DataLab classroom (Shields Library room 360, UC Davis campus*) to watch this year’s conference livestream from 8 am – 12 pm and 1 – 5 pm on March 7th, and connect with our Davis watch party on the UC Davis Slack #WiDS channel. We’ll have a brown bag networking lunch from 12 – 1 pm in the Library’s courtyard, weather permitting.
If you can’t make the watch party but would still like to attend the virtual conference, register now for the virtual conference! Free registration is available to the first 5,000 students. Check out the schedule and keynote speakers here.
WiDS Davis is an independent event that is organized by DataLab as part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference organized by Stanford University and an estimated 200+ locations worldwide, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work in the field of data science. All genders are invited to attend all WiDS Worldwide conference events.
