L&S undergrads learn how AI works – and can work for them
The UC Davis College of Letters and Science and UC Davis Library’s DataLab are offering a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to learn the skills required to be at the forefront of the AI revolution.
Undergraduate students with a major in the College of L&S can register for the free, 1-day AI Literacy & Logic workshop offered several dates in spring 2026.
The workshop is a non-coding, beginner friendly introduction to AI covering how it works and how to use it responsibly and effectively. Students who complete the full day and reflection activity can earn a certificate from the College of Letters and Science.
Learn more about the 2-day intensive workshop in this article by Greg Watry in the Letters & Science Magazine.
