Apply for the Lang Prize 2025!

Get recognized for your work on data-intensive assignments and data science projects

Applications are now open for the library’s 2025 Lang Prize! The Lang Prize recognizes UC Davis undergraduates who make exceptional use of library resources, services, or expertise for a class project — including those offered through DataLab.

If you’ve completed a research project using data science for a class during Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or Winter 2025 quarters, check out the application process and get startedThe application deadline is Monday, March 31.

Faculty and graduate students who teach or mentor undergraduates in computational and data-intensive research are likewise encouraged to share the opportunity with students.

In addition to term papers and honors theses, the Lang Prize welcomes research project submissions for software programs, art, media, data visualization and other forms.
