Women in Data Science Datathon 2020

The 3rd Annual Women in Data Science (WiDS) Datathon competition is now live on Kaggle! Hone your data science skills by joining teams in a predictive analytics competition focused on social impact.

This year, the WiDS Datathon 2020 focuses on patient health through data from MIT’s GOSSIS (Global Open Source Severity of Illness Score) initiative. This dataset includes more than 130,000 hospital Intensive Care Unit (ICU) visits from patients spanning a one-year timeframe. The datathon challenge is to use these data to predict patient survival. You can learn more in this datathon launch article.

The WiDS Datathon aims to inspire women worldwide to get involved in data science, and to create a supportive environment for women to connect with others in their community. The datathon is open to individuals or teams comprised of at least 50% women. Team members can participate remotely and include anyone from those new to data science to veterans of the field.
