The 2023-2024 UC Davis Library Graduate Student Prize is now open for applications. This prize is co-sponsored by the UC Davis Library and Office of Public Scholarship and Engagement to recognize graduate student and postdoctoral researchers who use the Library* to create outstanding, publicly engaged scholarship. Apply by December 1, 2023.

*Engagement with the UC Davis DataLab also qualifies!


Up to three prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded for an original, unpublished, written work. Work can include but is not limited to: research articles, dissertation or thesis chapters, essays, reports on research projects, research blog posts, digital products like web portals, and other creative works. Team-authored work qualifies as long as the applicant was a major contributor. All current UC Davis graduate and professional students, as well as postdoctoral scholars, are eligible to apply for this new prize. The applicant’s work must have been completed while at UC Davis.

Prize recipients will be celebrated at the annual Library Award Ceremony.
